They will certainly not fight to save it and almost no intelligent Americans would be willing to be drafted to fight for The Empire, which is a travesty of everything Americans stood for. The Fifth Principle is the Guerilla War Principle of Bleed The Enemy expressed so well by T.E. Lawrence: Use small, mobile forces that can act secretly across as wide an area as possible, drawing the enemy into thinning his expos-ed forces to be attacked anywhere and anytime he is weak enough to promise victory without big losses to the attackers and use weapons like mines that strike the enemy when he least expects it, spreading terror and demoralization at little loss to the attack-ers. The greatest strength of the Muslim guerillas, and, correspondingly, the greatest weakness of the U.S. in this Permanent War is that the guerillas can fight this war endlessly, as long as they have small bands of warriors will-ing to fight for Islam. As some strategists have pointed out, the Muslims are a vast nation that have a fierce will to exist as a religion and a nation of believers. If only 1% of all the Muslim able bodied men in the world should decide to take up arms against U.S., a figure that is extremely plausible, they would be guerilla armies of 5,000,000 men. Since it takes roughly 10 times more men to put down each guerilla, it would take a U.S. permanent military force of 50,000,000 to put them down. Small nations have oppressed much bigger ones imperialistically, as the British did in India with a small force of regulars. They rely on the local pseudo-independent rulers who cooper-ate with them. But when the US. invaded and annihilated Muslim nations they undermined the whole foundation of that indirect imperial rule. If the Muslim guerillas could count on this continuing, they would be fools to do more than put up token resistance to the U.S. to encourage more of the same, for they could then be certain of long run victory. They cannot count on permanent stupidity in the U.S., so they must take the risks of waging a more aggressive guerilla war, as they are doing. This will mean suffering serious casualties, but there is no need to suffer any great casualties. The Agitprop [Agitation and Propaganda] of The Empire, its police state colonies, and its few unwilling allies is that the U.S. military is inflicting great casualties against the Holy Warriors ["Te*r*rorists" in B**h's Agitprop Speak]. Anyone who looks closely at all the news avail-able about fighting in Iraq [not Afghanistan, where there is almost no news coming out] can see that most of the "insurgent" casualties alluded to by the U.S. [which says it does not keep count of enemy or civilian casualties, another Big Lie] are not part of guerilla armies. Most of them are innocent civilians bombed by the Americans or cau-ght in the cross fire. Many are the victims of the American retaliation attacks and anni-hilations of cities, notably Fallujah. Many are very young, local clan militia who refuse to let the American invade their homes and shame them before their families, so they stand and fight and are mowed down by the Hellfire missiles or the Apache meat grinders. The U.S. is not destroying the Muslim guerillas. On the contrary, the U.S. is feeding the raging fire of guerilla revolt. Every American round-up and shaming of innocents, every reprisal raid, every annihilation of cities like Fallujah, and every killing of real guerillas produces many more family and friends more enraged at the U.S. and willing to join the guerillas. The U.S. is even arming the Muslim Holy Warriors who will one day turn against them again. The U.S. initially intended to directly colonize Iraq and hide its imperial rule by a modern Proconsul behind a thin veil of hand-picked collaborators. This failed when the Shia revolted and demanded that they be allowed elections to rule. Moqtada al-Sadr's Mahdi Army fought openly in central Iraq against the vast firepower of the U.S. and suffered heavy losses. They agreed to a truce and now receive American help in building their Army from Sadr City in Baghdad to the southern tip of Iraq where they are very powerful. The pro-Iranian Shia militia of the Sistani and al-Hakim coalition forces, which have been controlling the American-Iraqi government and probably will any new government [with the help of the Kurds who have an independent state, Kurdestan, in the North as long as they go along in name with the Americans and Shia], have a situational understanding with the U.S., but their militias and politicians are actually very much Holy Warriors who loathe the U.S. The U.S. is knowingly building a pro-Iranian Shia army and government in Iraq to try to corrupt them with pay-offs and power into submitting to The Empire, at least loosely, to save B**h from looking like a complete fool to most Americans. He makes procla-mations about their being a pro-American Democracy, and they pretend to go along with that, but their prime minister is so much of a Holy Warrior that he openly refused to shake the hand in public view of B**h's Secretary of State in Iraq. It is very unlikely that these Holy Warrior Shia can be bribed into debauchery and submission as the al-ready corrupt Quislings in other Middle Eastern nations, such as Fatah in Palestine, were.
